The selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) raloxifene hydrochloride (RLH) is used extensively in the management and prevention of breast cancer and osteoporosis. Recent clinical studies show the repurposing of RLH in various diseases based on its structure and some clinical trials studies. Optimizing the clinical effectiveness of this important drug requires a thorough review of the formulation techniques, patent environment, and analytical procedures.

With the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry, data monitoring and collecting in the manufacturing process become essential. Pointer meter reading recognition (PMRR) is a key element in data monitoring throughout the manufacturing process. However, existing PMRR methods have low accuracy and insufficient robustness due to issues such as blur, uneven illumination, tilt, and complex backgrounds in meter images.

Background: The aging of the skin, particularly around the periorbital region, is a complex process characterized by the accumulation of senescent cells, decreased collagen production, and reduced skin elasticity, leading to visible signs such as fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging.
Objective: This study investigates the efficacy of a novel topical formulation, OS-01 EYE, containing the senomorphic peptide, OS-01, along with other active ingredients, in improving the skin around the eyes.
Methods: A 12-week clinical study was conducted with 22 participants who applied OS-01 EYE twice daily.

Some tumors employ a mechanism called alternative lengthening of telomeres (ALT) to counteract telomere shortening-induced replicative senescence. Several hallmarks are used to identify cell lines and tumors as ALT-positive. Here, we analyzed a panel of ALT-positive and -negative cancer cell lines to investigate the specificity and sensibility of ALT-associated markers.

Thermal cycling-based quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) represents the gold standard method for accurate and sensitive nucleic acid quantification in laboratory settings. However, its reliance on costly thermal cyclers limits the implementation of this technique for rapid point-of-care (POC) diagnostics. To address this, isothermal amplification techniques such as rolling circle amplification (RCA) have been developed, offering a simpler alternative that can operate without the need for sophisticated instrumentation.
