Purpose: The severity of surrounding adhesions, anomalous anatomy, and technical issues are the main factors that complicate cholecystectomy. This study focused on determining the types and frequency of laparoscopic anatomical variations found during laparoscopic cholecystectomy in our limited-resources condition and on defining the safe zone of dissection.
Methods: This prospective study was conducted at a single center in Aden, Yemen from 2012 to 2019.

Introduction And Importance: In liver cyst hydatid surgery, presence of cysto-biliary communication (CBC) is important for the prevention of postoperative morbidity. If cysto-biliary connections are not obvious, diagnosis is not easy. Intraoperative bile leakage test has been shown to reduce postoperative biliary complications by revealing occult CBCs.

Background: Liver hydatid disease is a common benign condition in many countries. Compared to open surgery, laparoscopic treatment can play an important role in improving the post-operative recovery, reducing the morbidity and recurrence rate of these patients.The purpose of this study is to show that the laparoscopic method is effective and safe in the treatment of liver hydatid cysts compared to open surgery, even in large cysts.

Hydatid disease is a parasitic zoonosis caused by the larval form of the Echinococcus worm. Hepatic hydatidosis is the most common form of the disease in humans. Centrally located, large hydatid cysts have the tendency to rupture into the adjoining bile duct and form a fistulous communication.

Surgery is still the gold standard in the treatment of hepatic hydatid disease. One of the major problems associated with hydatid cyst surgery is biliary fistula. In this report, we aimed to describe a laparoscopic internal drainage method for the treatment of complicated hepatic hydatid cyst in order to prevent long-term biliary fistulas.
