We present herein an extremely rare case of an inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT) of the ear lobule with its management. A 50-year-old woman presented with a wart-like mass between the ear lobule and the facial skin. She had been accidentally lacerated her left ear lobule and visited our clinic. The mass had been incidentally found by the patient 1 year before the trauma and growing slowly without pain. Surgical excision and primary closure was performed. Histopathologic examination demonstrated ill-defined margined nodular proliferation of spindle cells in deep dermis with focal stromal hyalinization and lymphoplasmacytic infiltration compatible with the IMT. The patient showed no evidence of recurrence 6 months after surgery. To our knowledge, this is the first report of an IMT occurred in the external ear. Auricular IMT of our case was not aggressive in clinical nature and treated optimally with surgical excision.

A new species of rock skink Liopholis Fitzinger 1843 (Scincidae) is described from the Mann-Musgrave Ranges of north-western South Australia. Liopholis margaretae sensu lato (Storr 1968) is currently known to occur in two disjunct populations: the MacDonnell Ranges bioregion and nearby regions in the Northern Territory, and the Central Ranges bioregion in South Australia. Based on morphological examination of both museum and field specimens, as well as on newly generated molecular data, we show that specimens from these two ranges constitute distinct species.

A large keloid on the right earlobe that extended to the infraauricular region was the reason for the 42-year-old woman's referral for treatment. The entire thickness of the earlobe was implicated in the surgical defect that resulted from the severe keloid excision. We employed a straightforward technique to provide a pleasing appearance while repairing the entire lobe in a single stage without the need for grafts.

This study attempts to classify ear morphology for human identification in forensic investigations by distinguishing between the upper auricle and lobule areas. A three-dimensional homologous model of the ear was created using 414 ear images of males aged 17-93 years reconstructed from computed tomography scans of forensic autopsy cases. Morphological changes were visualized using principal component analysis and areas of significant individual differences within the entire ear were identified.

Laryngeal dystonia (LD) is an isolated, task-specific, focal dystonia characterized by intermittent spasms of laryngeal muscles impairing speech production. Although recent studies have demonstrated neural alterations in LD, the consistency of findings across studies is not well-established, limiting their translational applicability. We conducted a systematic literature search to identify studies reporting stereotactic coordinates of peak structural and functional abnormalities in LD patients compared to healthy controls, followed by a coordinate-based activation likelihood estimation meta-analysis.
