Autoreactive antibodies (AAB) are currently being investigated as causative or aggravating factors during post-COVID. In this study we analyze the effect of immunoadsorption therapy on symptom improvement and the relationship with immunological parameters in post-COVID patients exhibiting symptoms of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) induced or aggravated by an SARS-CoV-2 infection. This observational study includes 12 post-COVID patients exhibiting a predominance of ME/CFS symptoms alongside increased concentrations of autonomic nervous system receptors (ANSR) autoantibodies and neurological impairments.

Antibody-mediated rejection (AMR) has been recognized as a significant cause of acute and chronic lung allograft dysfunction after lung transplantation. Some treatments, eculizumab, an anti-complement (C)5 component monoclonal antibody (Mab), seem to have a promising effect in the management of some patients with AMR. We present two patients with acute AMR after lung transplantation who received the anti-C5 Mab therapy.

Background: Therapeutic apheresis (TA) are promising treatment option for neuroimmunological disorders. In paediatrics, the available data is limited, particularly for the use of IA. The aim of this study was to analyse the use of PE and IA in children and adolescents, with emphasis on outcome and neurological course after treatment as well as the safety of the two modalities.

In acetylcholine receptor (AChR) antibody-positive generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG), neonatal Fc-receptor (FcRn) inhibition has broadened the therapeutic spectrum. Myasthenic crisis (MC), heralded by an impending myasthenic crisis (iMC), is a critical condition requiring treatments with rapid onset and sustained efficacy. Currently treatments used for iMC, including intravenous immunoglobulins and plasma exchange/immunoadsorption, have limitations, such as delayed onset of action and potential side effects.
