This brief report examines the relationship between the scale scores derived through weighted and unweighted item scoring on the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-II (MCMI-II). The inventories of 356 subjects across three samples were scored using weighted and unweighted algorithms. Correlations between the weighted and unweighted MCMI-II scales were found to approach unity. This casts doubt on whether the weighting system has substantial effect on the profiles that are generated or on reducing interscale correlations.

Background: Our study aims to provide evidence concerning the relationship between hyperuricemia, gout and Vitamin D deficiency by analyzing data from Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH), the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database, and through Mendelian randomization (MR) analyses.
Methods: Sample 1 involved patients from PUMCH (n=13,532), and sample 2 involved participants from NHANES (Unweighted n=22,860; weight n=182,829,142). Logistic regression and restricted cubic spline analyses were applied to assess above relationship.

The wound formed by antler velvet shedding can naturally achieve regenerative restoration, but the changes in microbial composition that occur during antler velvet regeneration are largely unknown.
