Cezanne-2 (Cez2) is a deubiquitinylating (DUB) enzyme involved in the regulation of ubiquitin-driven cellular signaling and selectively targets Lys11-linked polyubiquitin chains. As a representative member of the ovarian tumor (OTU) subfamily DUBs, it performs cysteine proteolytic isopeptide bond cleavage; however, its exact catalytic mechanism is not yet resolved. In this work, we used different computational approaches to get molecular insights into the Cezanne-2 catalytic mechanism.

The underlying mechanisms between cancer stem cells (CSC) and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in pancreatic cancer (PC) remain unclear. In this study, we identified TGIF2 as a target gene of CSC using sncRNA and machine learning. TGIF2 is closely related to the expression of SOX2, EGFR, and E-cadherin, indicating poor prognosis.

Approach to the Patient using Diabetes Technology in Pregnancy.

J Clin Endocrinol Metab

January 2025

Section of Maternal Fetal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Chicago.

Diabetes in pregnancy increases risk for complications for the pregnant patient and neonate. Tight glycemic control to maintain glucose levels as close to non-diabetic ranges as possible can lower risk for these complications. Achieving strict glycemic targets can be challenging and technologies including continuous glucose monitors (CGM) and hybrid closed loop (HCL) insulin pumps have the potential to improve diabetes control and pregnancy outcomes.

School of Mathematics and Physics, Beijing Key Laboratory for Magneto-Photoelectrical Composite and Interface Science, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing, 100083, China.

The advancement of the optoelectronic fusion industry has escalated the demands for optoelectronic simulation, yet a comprehensive model library remains unavailable for chip designers. We have utilized the hardware description language Verilog-A to develop an extensive optoelectronic device model library, featuring a full range of device types, unified interfaces, and the capability to simulate the physical effects of devices. Establishing this model library is intended to alleviate the workload of chip designers and reduce development costs.
