Meningiomas are common, typically benign intracranial neoplasms with well-demarcated borders.Meningiomas with indistinct boundaries have been reported.These can invade surrounding structures, and present surgical and diagnostic challenges. We present the case of an unusual meningioma in a 53-year-old male in which preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed an irregular lesion with clear boundaries and peripheral rim enhancement. Intraoperatively, however, no cleavage plane was apparent. Histological examination showed an increase of fibroconnective tissue with proliferation of dilated vessels in the periphery of the tumor concordant with the rim.Immunohistochemical staining of the tumor was positive for EMA and CD34, but negative for CEA, Ki67, and GFAP. Immunohistochemical staining of proliferating vessels in the periphery of the tumor was positive for CD34. A so-called ‘capsule’ structure was suggested according to MRI findings and pathological examination.The tumor was diagnosed as a mixed type meningioma,WHO grade I.

Background: Limitations to using the knee as donor cartilage include cartilage thickness mismatch and donor site morbidity. Using the radial head as donor autograft for capitellar lesions may allow for local graft harvest without distant donor site morbidity. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the feasibility of performing local osteochondral autograft transfer from the nonarticular cartilaginous rim of the radial head to the capitellum.

Low-grade endometrial stromal sarcoma (LGESS) is a rare uterine malignancy that causes non-specific symptoms which presents more typically in younger women compared to other uterine sarcomas. Preoperative diagnosis of myometrial LGESS is challenging, as it is frequently mistaken for a benign uterine mass, such as a degenerating leiomyoma. Despite its rarity, the imaging findings of LGESS are highly variable, complicating the diagnostic process.

Medial meniscus ramp tears are tears of the posteromedial capsule or peripheral rim of the posteromedial meniscus that frequently occur with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears. The incidence and prevalence of medial meniscus ramp tears has been increasing in the recent literature due to the increased understanding of the anatomy and diagnosis of these tears. When a patient presents with an ACL tear, a medial meniscus ramp tear should be suspected if the patient has a grade 3+ Lachman or pivot-shift exam, a vertical line of increased signal intensity in the posterior capsule or peripheral meniscus on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), or posteromedial tibial plateau bone bruising on MRI.
