Modern molecular biological studies have significantly improved understanding of structural and functional organization of the female reproductive system. The paper gives a brief overview of the literature and own research on verification and expression in the endometrium and placenta of many peptides, biogenic amines, steroids, cytokines and other signalling molecules, which, acting as hormones, enzymes, inhibitors, receptors, growth factors, immunoregulatory agents, transport's and binding proteins, provide the local regulation of intercellular neuroimmunoendocrine relationships that play a key role in the mechanisms of human embryogenesis and reproduction.

The article reviews the clinical and mechanism researches of acupuncture-moxibustion in treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in recent two decades at home and abroad. The results indicate that acupuncture-moxibustion is conductive to RA with fewer adverse reactions for the patients, and improves joint function and quality of life to a certain extent. The therapeutic results of acupuncture-moxibustion result from the multi-target, multi-level collaborative effect on RA.

Atmospheric pollution can be defined as a set of changes that occur in the composition of the air, making it unsuitable and/or harmful and thereby generating adverse effects on human health. The regular practice of physical exercise (PE) is associated with the preservation and/or improvement of health; however, it can be influenced by neuroimmunoendocrine mechanisms and external factors such as air pollution, highlighting the need for studies involving the practice of PE in polluted environments. Herein, 24 male C57BL/6 mice were evaluated, distributed into four groups (exposed to a high concentration of pollutants/sedentary, exposed to a high concentration of pollutants/exercised, exposed to ambient air/sedentary, and exposed to ambient air/exercised).

Background: SARS-CoV-2, first identified in Wuhan, China, in December 2019, has been gradually spreading worldwide since 2020. The relationship between SARS-CoV-2 infection and psychotic disorders has received much attention, and several studies have described the direct/indirect mechanisms of its effects on the brain, but no mechanism has been found to explain recurrent episodes of COVID-19-related psychotic symptoms.
Case: We report the case of an 18-year-old female patient with no family or personal psychotic disorder history with multiple hospital admissions with symptoms such as disorganized speech and behavior, hyperactivity, restlessness, and impulsive aggression during the COVID-19 recovery period.

Introduction: Sexual dimorphism significantly influences cancer incidence and prognosis. Notably, females exhibit a lower risk and favorable prognosis for non-reproductive cancers compared to males, a pattern observable beyond the scope of risk behaviors such as alcohol consumption and smoking. Colorectal cancer, ranking third in global prevalence and second in mortality, disproportionately affects men.

Ultraviolet radiation (UVR) is primarily recognized for its detrimental effects such as cancerogenesis, skin aging, eye damage, and autoimmune disorders. With exception of ultraviolet B (UVB) requirement in the production of vitamin D3, the positive role of UVR in modulation of homeostasis is underappreciated. Skin exposure to UVR triggers local responses secondary to the induction of chemical, hormonal, immune, and neural signals that are defined by the chromophores and extent of UVR penetration into skin compartments.
