Recent advances in technology involving magnetic materials require development of novel advanced magnetic materials with improved magnetic and magneto-transport properties and with reduced dimensionality. Therefore magnetic materials with outstanding magnetic characteristics and reduced dimensionality have recently gained much attention. Among these magnetic materials a family of thin wires with reduced geometrical dimensions (of order of 1-30 μm in diameter) have gained importance within the last few years. These thin wires combine excellent soft magnetic properties (with coercivities up to 4 A/m) with attractive magneto-transport properties (Giant Magneto-impedance effect, GMI, Giant Magneto-resistance effect, GMR) and an unusual re-magnetization process in positive magnetostriction compositions exhibiting quite fast domain wall propagation. In this paper we overview the magnetic and magneto-transport properties of these microwires that make them suitable for microsensor applications.

Rationale And Objectives: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common pathogenesis of dementia, and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is considered as the intermediate stage from normal elderly to AD. Early detection of MCI is an essential step for the timely intervention of AD to slow the progression of this disease. Different form previous studies in the whole-brain spontaneous activities, this research aimed to explore the low-frequency amplitude spectrum activities of patients with MCI within the default mode network (DMN), which has been involved in the process of maintaining normal cognitive function.

To boost supercapacitor (SC) energy density, we introduced redox-active molecules into an aqueous HSO electrolyte. Using retrosynthetic analysis, we identified aminoquinones, specifically triaminochlorobenzoquinone (TACBQ), as promising candidates. Characterization via elemental analysis, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FT-IR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) confirmed structure of TACBQ.

Electronic address:

The anisotropic mechanical properties of fiber-embedded biological tissues are essential for understanding their development, aging, disease progression, and response to therapy. However, accurate and fast assessment of mechanical anisotropy in vivo using elastography remains challenging. To address the dilemma of achieving both accuracy and efficiency in this inverse problem involving complex wave equations, we propose a computational framework that utilizes the traveling wave expansion model.

Aims: To describe the imaging features of patients presenting with soft tissue masses and a provisional diagnosis of soft tissue tumours, for whom biopsy confirmed the presence of necrotising granulomata consistent with tuberculoma.

Material And Methods: A review of the histopathology database for patients who had a diagnosis of necrotising granulomata in nonspinal sites. Patients with bone and joint-based pathology were excluded.

Impact of climate change that stems from gaseous emissions require sustainable materials to eliminate sulfur.  This study involves the modification of humic acid with magnetite nanoparticles (Fe₃O₄ NPs) by a microwave-assisted synthesis of an absorbent with reasonable pore volume and diameter for elimination of thiophenic compounds from fuel. The magnetic nano adsorbent designated Fe3O4@HA was characterized using advanced spectroscopic techniques, while their structure and morphology were analyzed through DLS, XPS, XRD, FT-IR, TGA, FESEM-EDX, VSM, and BET-N2 techniques.
