Introduction: Soft tissue defect in the lower limb presents as a difficult reconstructive challenge. Cross-leg flap was routinely used in the past for the salvage of the lower limb but is seldom used nowadays due to advances in microsurgical procedures.
Case Presentation: We present a case of an 18-year-old male who presented with a complex soft tissue defect of 25 × 10 cm on the anterolateral aspect of the right leg following a motor vehicle accident.

Background: Complex surgery during initial cancer treatment can limit surgical options when planning management of a secondary malignancy. Subtotal esophagectomy and pancreatoduodenectomy are the most invasive and difficult procedures in gastroenterological surgery. Surgical cases in which subtotal esophagectomy was performed after pancreatoduodenectomy with pancreaticogastrostomy are extremely rare and challenging procedures due to the resulting complicated anatomical changes.

Introduction: The impact of the distance of the tumor from the main hepatic vessels (DTV), such as the Glissonean pedicle or hepatic veins, on oncological outcomes for Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients is relatively understudied. Therefore, the objective of this study was to explore the correlation between DTV and survival in patients with HCC after curative hepatic resection.
Methods: Consecutive patients who underwent curative-intent liver surgery for HCC between April 2018 and May 2023 were identified from a prospective database.

Background: The reverse flow technique describes flap revascularization via anastomoses at the distal pedicle. The technique has been described for various indications but rarely as a means of flap salvage. To our knowledge, there are no previously reported cases where the reverse flow concept was utilized as a means of salvage of an osteocutaneous fibula free flap with severe atherosclerosis of the proximal peroneal artery.
