An asynchronous 10 Gb/s Ethernet packet with maximum packet size of 1518 bytes is synchronized and retimed to a master clock with 200 kHz frequency offset using a time lens. The NRZ packet is simultaneously converted into an RZ packet, then further pulse compressed to a FWHM of 400 fs and finally time-division multiplexed with a serial 1.28 Tb/s signal including a vacant time slot, thus forming a 1.29 Tb/s time-division multiplexed serial signal. Error-free performance of synchronizing, retiming, time-division multiplexing to a Terabit data stream and finally demultiplexing back to 10 Gb/s of the Ethernet packet is achieved.

Space-air-sea communication networks are of great interest to meet the demand for close and seamless connections between space, land, and ocean environments. Wireless light communication can expand network coverage from land to the sky and even the ocean while offering enhanced anti-interference capabilities. Here, we propose and establish an all-light communication network (ALCN) for space-air-sea integrated interconnection, which merges underwater blue light communication, wireless white light communication, solar-blind deep ultraviolet light communication and laser diode-based space communication.

While inertial measurement unit (IMU)-based motion capture (MoCap) systems have been gaining popularity for human movement analysis, they still suffer from long-term positioning errors due to accumulated drift and inefficient data transmission via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. To address this problem, this study introduces an integrated ultrawideband (UWB)-IMU system, named UI-MoCap, designed for simultaneous 3D positioning as well as wireless IMU data transmission through UWB pulses. We propose a self-powered remote multi-sensing system for traffic sensing which is powered by the collective energy harvested from the mechanical vibration of the road caused by the passing vehicles and from the temperature gradient between the asphalt of the road and the soil underneath. A stacked piezoelectric transducer converts mechanical vibrations into electrical energy and a thermoelectric generator harvests the thermal energy from the thermal gradient. Electrical energy signals from the stacked piezoelectric transducer and the thermoelectric generators are converted into usable DC power to recharge the battery using AC-DC and DC-DC converters working simultaneously.
