In the title compound, C(9)H(6)FNO(2), the carboxyl group is twisted slightly away from the indole-ring plane [dihedral angle = 7.39 (10)°]. In the crystal, carboxyl inversion dimers linked by pairs of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate R(2) (2)(8) loops and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds connect the dimers into (10[Formula: see text]) sheets.

Preparation and intestinal gastrointestinal delivery performance of Malus baccata (Linn.) polyphenols loaded nanoparticles based on yeast membranes.

Food Res Int

April 2025

Nano-biotechnology Key Laboratory of Hebei Province, State Key Laboratory of Metastable Materials Science and Technology, School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering, Yanshan University, Qinhuangdao 066004, PR China.

The currently available polyphenols delivery systems require the complicated preparation process and participation of multiple food-graded materials. Yeast membranes (YMS), as unitary encapsulation material, not only can load natural products by their porous structure but also can be specifically degraded by β-glucanase in intestine. Therefore, this study fabricated Malus baccata (Linn.

Electronic address:

Introduction: Mas-related G protein-coupled receptor (MRGPR) X2 is a mast cell receptor known to be activated by a wide range of ligands of various size, charge and origin. Our aim is to gain a deeper understanding of the binding processes of the different MRGPRX2 ligands and the ligand-receptor interactions in order to identify crucial structural elements for receptor activation.

Materials And Methods: We used the three-dimensional structure of MRGPRX2 described in Nature in 2021 by Cao et al.

This study investigated non-covalent interactions between unmodified/modified (ball-milling, BMP; high pressure homogenization, HPHP; cold plasma, CPP) Cyperus esculentus protein (CEP) and proanthocyanidins (PA and PB2) to evaluate structure, functionalities and potential in emulsions. The PA and PB2 addition significantly increased the turbidity and ζ-potential of CEP samples, as confirmed by aggregations observed via atomic force microscopy, validating the formation of protein-proanthocyanidin complexes. Fluorescence quenching and isothermal titration calorimetry revealed that procyanidins caused CEP sample static quenching, with CEP-proanthocyanidins binding affinity order as CPP > HPHP>BMP > CEP.

Rice bran protein fibril and chitin nanofiber complexes as a new material for fat substitution and saltiness enhancement.

Food Chem

School of Health Science and Engineering, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Shanghai, PR China; National Grain Industry (Urban Grain and Oil Security) Technology Innovation Center, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Shanghai, PR China. Electronic address:

Rice bran protein fibrils (RBPFs) and chitin nanofibers (CNFs) have great untapped application potential in fat and salt reduction. The present study aims to prepare RBPF-CNF complexes at the optimum conditions and investigate their structures and physicochemical properties. RBPFs and CNFs formed better fiber structures with the higher viscosity and saltiness when heated for 10 h and ultrasound treated for 40 min, respectively.
