Analogs of 3'-amino-5-hydroxy-3,6,7,8,4'-pentamethoxy-flavone, a strongly cytotoxic and antimitotic semisynthetic flavone, were synthesized in the aurone, isoflavone and isoflavanone series. Comparison of the biological activity of these new compounds with the reference showed a potent cytotoxicity only in the flavone series. Influence of the hydroxy group (at C-5 in flavones, at C-4 in aurones) on the cytotoxicity, known to be favorable in flavones, was found to be detrimental in aurones. This observation was related to the hydrogen bonding formed with the carbonyl group, strong in the flavones, but of weak intensity in the aurones.

Objectives: To assess the effect of patient positioning and general anesthesia on the condylar position in orthognathic surgery.
Materials And Methods: This prospective study included patients undergoing orthognathic surgery between 2019 and 2020. Four weeks prior to surgery (T0) cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans and intra-oral scans (IOS) were acquired in an upright position.

Background: pelvis and shoulder are deeply integrated. They are connected by myofascial slings. The pelvic and spinal posture affects the position of the scapula and the activity of its muscles and affects acromio-humeral distance and so that affects shoulder movement.

In clinical movement biomechanics, kinematic measurements are collected to characterise the motion of articulating joints and investigate how different factors influence movement patterns. Representative time-series signals are calculated to encapsulate (complex and multidimensional) kinematic datasets succinctly. Exacerbated by numerous difficulties to consistently define joint coordinate frames, the influence of local frame orientation and position on the characteristics of the resultant kinematic signals has been previously proven to be a major limitation.

Rehabilitation is the process of helping people regain or improve lost or impaired function due to injury, illness, or disease. To assist in tracking the progress of patients undergoing rehabilitation, this paper proposes a lightweight graph-based deep-learning model for the automatic assessment of physical rehabilitation exercises. The model takes as input the 3D skeleton sequence of a patient performing a movement and outputs a continuous quality score, as a means for patient supervision that could complement or even substitute the need for ordinary clinical exams.

The bromodomain-containing protein 4 (BRD4) is an epigenetic regulatory 'reader' belonging to the bromodomain and extra-terminal domain (BET) family. Several studies have demonstrated that the high expression of BRD4 is closely related to the occurrence and development of various cancers, so BRD4 has become a promising target for cancer treatment. However, there are no drugs targeting BRD4 available on the market, the development of novel BRD4 inhibitors is of great significance.
