Introduction: Hypophosphatemic vitamin D-resistant rickets (VDRRs) is a metabolic bone disease caused by abnormalities in the vitamin D receptive system or in phosphate and calcium metabolism. This condition occurs in growing skeleton affecting bone and dentin mineralization, resulting in systemic and oral manifestations.

Methods: A 15-year-old boy was referred to the private clinic for endodontic treatment in #9. His medical history revealed VDRR disease. The dental findings were multiple periapical lesions in several teeth without obvious reason such as caries or trauma. The radiographic examination showed short roots, enlarged pulp chambers with longer pulp horns, thin dentin and enamel, missing or poorly defined lamina dura, and abnormalities in the cementoenamel junction, all pathognomonic features of the disorder. Conservative endodontic treatment was completed in all teeth with pulp necrosis and rarefactions.

Results: A 6-month, 1-year, and 2-year follow-up radiographic examination revealed progressive improvement with bone reconstruction without any clinical symptoms.

Conclusions: Early diagnosis, conventional treatment, and continuous radiographic examination are important factors in improving dental alterations in patients with VDRRs.

Background: Molariform second premolar is a rare dental anomaly where the second premolar resembles a molar in size and shape. This condition is often linked to macrodontia, a rare enlargement of teeth that disrupts dental proportions and can manifest in isolated, relative, or generalized forms. Although mandibular second premolars are more prone to morphological variability, the occurrence of bilateral molariform premolars, induced by a unique form of gemination, is exceptionally uncommon and infrequently documented, thus making this case clinically significant.

Background: Neck pain is a common condition across various populations, with a substantial impact on daily life and quality of life. Forward head posture is frequently observed in individuals with neck pain and is closely associated with lifestyle factors. This study aimed to examine the relationship between lifestyle factors and forward head posture in young adults with neck pain and determine the optimal cutoff value for assessing the risk of forward head posture.

Fibrous dysplasia in the alveolar crest of edentulous site and the curettage for future implant placement: a case report.

Department of Oral Implantology, School and Hospital of Stomatology, Guangdong Engineering Research Center of Oral Restoration and Reconstruction & Guangzhou Key Laboratory of Basic and Applied Research of Oral Regenerative Medicine, Guangzhou Medical University, Guangzhou, 510182, China.

Background: Fibrous dysplasia (FD) is a self-limiting benign disease with slow progression in which the normal bone is replaced by dysplastic fibrous tissue. The craniofacial skeleton is one of the most commonly affected areas, and it can create unique challenges in dental implant therapy. This case aims to report an unusual presentation of FD localized in the alveolar crest bone of the edentulous site, causing special obstacles to implant placement, and provide a diagnostic and treatment process that may be referenced.

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the quality of clinically indicated digital dental panoramic radiographs (DPRs) of children with mixed dentition. Despite the likely widespread use of this modality, recent research detailing errors on DPRs is scarce.

Materials And Methods: A consecutive case series was performed, including 178 DPRs from patients aged 6 to 12 years.

Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics, Faculty of Medicine, Suleyman Demirel University, Isparta, Turkey.

Purpose: Periarticular and generalized osteoporosis are well-known comorbidities of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), associated with either the disease itself or glucocorticoid therapy. This study was performed to quantitatively evaluate changes in the jawbones of patients with RA using fractal analysis (FA).

Materials And Methods: The study comprised 186 participants, including 144 women and 42 men.
