Eighteen patients with advanced breast cancer refractory to combination chemotherapy with 5-FU, Adriamycin, Cytoxan (FAC) were treated with methotrexate 30 to 40 mg/m2 iv and vincristing 1.5 mg/m2 iv at weekly intervals. Of 17 evaluable patients, 4 (23%) achieved a partial remission with a median duration of remission of 6 months and a median survival of 10 months. In another seven of seventeen patients (41%) the disease remained stable. Toxicity was minimal.

Follicular lymphoma (FL) represents the second most frequent type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma and the most common indolent histology. The disease course of FL is heterogeneous, likely resulting from diverse molecular and immunological features that drive a broad spectrum of clinical presentations. While some patients with low-volume and asymptomatic disease are suitable for observation, patients with high tumor burden, advanced-stage, or symptomatic disease more often necessitate treatment initiation.

Introduction: Stage IV non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) with oligometastases is potentially curable by radical treatment. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of chemoradiotherapy (CRT) for thoracic disease, including the primary lesion and lymph node metastases, combined with local consolidative therapy (LCT) for oligometastases.
Methods: This was a multicenter Phase II trial for patients with Stage IV NSCLC with oligometastases for whom CRT for thoracic disease was feasible.

Background And Aim: Standard rectal cancer treatment includes neoadjuvant radiotherapy sensitized by 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) chemotherapy. However, 5-FU increased chemoradiotherapy response rate comes with significant toxicity, especially in older, frail patients. Background: Brain metastases (BMs) are common in human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive advanced breast cancer, increasing morbidity and mortality. Systemic therapy for BMs can be effective, with the triple combination of trastuzumab, capecitabine, and tucatinib being a potential standard.
