Introduction: Coagulopathy following traumatic injury impairs stable blood clot formation and exacerbates mortality from hemorrhage. Understanding how these alterations impact blood clot stability is critical to improving resuscitation. Furthermore, the incorporation of machine learning algorithms to assess clinical markers, coagulation assays and biochemical assays allows us to define the contributions of these factors to mortality.

Cellulose and Cellulose Nanomaterials: Recent Research and Applications in Medical Field.

Comb Chem High Throughput Screen

January 2025

Pharmaceutics Division, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Kashmir, Hazratbal, Srinagar-190006, Jammu and Kashmir, India.

Cellulose, the most prevalent biopolymer in the world, is comprehensively reviewed. Cellulose occurs in fibrillar patterns with alternating crystalline and amorphous regions. The non-toxic and -friendly nature of cellulose has made it beneficial in many fields, such as pharmaceuticals, biomedical, nanotechnology, etc.

The red blood cell (RBC) membrane is unique and crucial for maintaining structural-functional relationships. Maternal smoking induces significant changes in the morphological, rheological, and functional parameters of both maternal and foetal RBCs, mainly due to the continuous generation of the free radicals. The major aim of this study was to follow the consequences of a secondary stressor, like fungal infection, on the already compromised RBC populations.

The current investigation explores tri-hybrid mediated blood flow through a ciliary annular model, designed to emulate an endoscopic environment. The human circulatory system, driven by the metachronal ciliary waves, is examined in this study to understand how ternary nanoparticles influence wave-like flow dynamics in the presence of interfacial nanolayers. We also analyze the effect of an induced magnetic field on Ag-Cu-/blood flow within the annulus, focusing on thermal radiation, heat sources, buoyancy forces and ciliary motion.
