Background: In causal analyses, some third factor may distort the relationship between the exposure and the outcome variables under study, which gives spurious results. In this case, treatment groups and control groups that receive and do not receive the exposure are different from one another in some other essential variables, called confounders.

Method: Place of birth was used as exposure variable and age-specific childhood vaccination status was used as outcome variables.

Nanomaterials stand out for their exceptional properties and innovative potential, especially in applications that protect against space radiation. They offer an innovative approach to this challenge, demonstrating notable properties of radiation absorption and scattering, as well as flexibility and lightness for the development of protective clothing and equipment. This review details the use of polymeric materials, such as polyimides (PIs), which are efficient at attenuating ultraviolet (UV) radiation and atomic oxygen (AO).

Schizophrenia (SCZ), bipolar (BD) and major depression disorder (MDD) are severe psychiatric disorders that are challenging to treat, often leading to treatment resistance (TR). It is crucial to develop effective methods to identify and treat patients at risk of TR at an early stage in a personalized manner, considering their biological basis, their clinical and psychosocial characteristics. Effective translation of theoretical knowledge into clinical practice is essential for achieving this goal.

Marginalized groups in Manitoba, Canada, especially females and people who inject drugs, are overrepresented in new HIV diagnoses and disproportionately affected by HIV and structural disadvantages. Informed by syndemic theory, our aim was to understand people living with HIV's (PLHIV) gendered and intersecting barriers and facilitators across the cascade of HIV care before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study was co-designed and co-led alongside people with lived experience and a research advisory committee.
