Objective: To evaluate the personality and psychosocial status of adult malocclusion patients through the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ) and the Symptom Checklist 90 (SCL-90).
Methods: The EPQ and the SCL-90 were administered to 348 adult respondents with Angle's Class I, II, III malocclusion and normal occlusion. Personality and psychosocial traits were analyzed and compared among the groups.
Results: Patients in Angle's Class I, II and III groups scored lower on the EPQ-E and higher on the EPQ-N than those in the normal occlusion group, whereas patients in the Class II group scored higher on the EPQ-P. The mean scores of Class I, II and III groups were significantly higher than those of the normal group on somatization, obsessive-compulsiveness, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, and paranoid ideation. All SCL-90 scores were significantly positively correlated with EPQ-N. Psychoticism and neuroticism scores of female respondents were higher than those of male respondents. The impact of education was greatest on the EPQ-P and the EPQ-E of adult personality, whereas the impact of deformity was greatest on the EPQ-N of adult personality.
Conclusions: Personality and psychosocial status show differences in adult patients with Class I, II, III malocclusion and normal occlusion and can be influenced by gender, deformity, age and education.

Perceived risk for HIV acquisition among gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM) may not align with their actual sexual HIV exposure. Factors associated with low/moderate perceived risk among GBMSM eligible for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) (based on their high estimated HIV exposure) have been poorly described in Latin America. This is a secondary analysis of a 2018 web-based cross-sectional survey in Brazil, Mexico, and Peru.

Introduction: Teachers are pivotal in shaping educational environments and student development but face significant occupational stress and high rates of mental problems. Despite the availability of various psychosocial interventions, comprehensive evidence of their effectiveness and implementation is limited for this occupational group, especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). This mixed methods study aims to conduct a scoping review of characteristics, effectiveness, and implementation outcomes of psychosocial interventions for teachers' mental health and mental problems, integrating these with teachers' lived experiences to inform the implementation of mental health interventions in LMICs.

From a current perspective, it is understood that body posture is influenced by individual asymmetries, cultural context, habitual body patterns, etiological factors and psychosocial factors allocated to the individual. Clarifying the musculoskeletal cause that originated the postural alteration is considered the clinical challenge in the treatment of pain or discomfort. Recent studies have shown the influence of changes in body weight on the distribution of plantar pressure and foot pain, emphasizing the importance of understanding these relationships.

Living-donor kidney transplantation is the preferred treatment for kidney failure. In the United States, rates of living kidney donation have been stagnant, which is partly related to concerns over medical and financial risks. Recent research has better characterized the risks of living kidney donation, although the field is limited by a lack of robust registries.
