A 3-year-old boy from a cattle property in Queensland, Australia developed chronic, multifocal, recurrent subcutaneous nodules and abscesses during a period of 2 years. Serologic and histologic findings and management options are discussed.

Aseptic splenic abscesses are rare in the early phases of Crohn's disease and are typically reported in patients with longstanding illness or uncontrolled symptoms despite medical treatment. We present a case of recurrent aseptic splenic abscesses in a young man newly diagnosed with Crohn's disease, whose illness remained well-controlled. This unique case raises questions regarding the spontaneous resolution of aseptic splenic abscesses without steroid therapy and their recurrence without acute Crohn's disease flare-ups.

It usually results from traumatic implantation of the saprophytic fungus from soil and vegetative matter; therefore, the commonest sites of infection are the extremities.

Fascioliasis is a zoonotic disease that may affect humans as incidental hosts after the ingestion of contaminated water or aquatic plants. Despite the non-specificity of its signs and symptoms, a triad of abdominal pain, fever, and peripheral eosinophilia should increase suspicion. The diagnosis of fascioliasis can be particularly difficult in non-endemic countries.
