The asymmetric unit of the title tetra-nuclear niobium(V) compound, [Nb(4)(C(2)H(5)O)(8)(C(5)H(7)O(2))(4)O(4)], contains two Nb(V) atoms, two bridging O atoms, two acetyl-acetonate and four ethano-late ligands. Each Nb(V) atom is six-coordinated by the bridging O atoms, two ethano-late and one chelating acetyl-acetonate ligands. The Nb-O distances vary between 1.817 (2) and 2.201 (2) Å and the O-Nb-O angles vary between 78.88 (8) and 102.78 (9)°, illustrating the significant distortion from ideal ocahedral geometry. The rest of the tetra-nuclear unit is generated through an inversion centre. The C atoms of two of the ethano-late mol-ecules are disordered over two sites [occupancy ratio 0.601 (12):0.399 (12)].

Phthalocyanine nickel enhanced composite solid-state electrolytes with homogenous and fast Li-ion conduction for high-voltage Li-metal batteries.

Herein, a novel composite solid-state polymer electrolytes (CSEs) was regulated by introducing CoNi-MOF (Metal-organic framework) @NiPc (Nickel phthalocyanine) nanofiller (CMN) into PEO (polyethylene oxide) matrix. In this novel system, the NiPc uniformly wrapped around the surface of MOF through hydrogen bond bridging, avoiding the agglomeration of the MOF particles. The chemisorption between Ni in NiPc and the O atoms in the bis(triffuoromethanesulfonyl)imide anion (TFSI) restricted the mobility of the anions within the CSEs, which improved the release of Li ions from the NiPcLi.

Breaking the Trade-Off Between Electrical Conductivity and Mechanical Strength in Bulk Graphite Using Metal-Organic Framework-Derived Precursors.

High-performance bulk graphite (HPBG) that simultaneously integrates superior electrical conductivity and excellent strength is in high demand, yet it remains critical and challenging. Herein a novel approach is introduced utilizing MOF-derived nanoporous metal/carbon composites as precursors to circumvent this traditional trade-off. The resulting bulk graphite, composed of densely packed multilayered graphene sheets functionalized with diverse cobalt forms (nanoparticles, single atoms, and clusters), exhibits unprecedented electrical conductivity in all directions (in-plane: 7311 S cm⁻¹, out-of-plane: 5541 S cm⁻¹) and excellent mechanical strength (flexural: 101.

Background: CHRFAM7A is a human-restricted gene associated with neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders. The translated CHRFAM7A protein incorporates into the α7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (α7nAChR) leading to a hypomorphic receptor. Mechanistic insight from isogenic iPSC derived neuronal and mononuclear cells demonstrated that CHRFAM7A affects Ca signaling and activates small GTPase Rac1 leading to an actin cytoskeleton gain of function.

Achieving high-performance lead sulfide quantum dot (PbS QD)-based photodetectors requires enhanced carrier transfer, which inevitably leads to an increased dark current. Balancing a high photocurrent and low dark current is crucial. In this work, a bridge-trap structure constructed by the atomic layer deposition of dual oxides is proposed to simultaneously enhance photoresponse performance and reduce dark current.

Solar-driven CO2 reduction to ethanol is extremely challenging due to the limited efficiency of charge separation, sluggish kinetics of C-C coupling, and unfavorable formation of oxygenate intermediates. Here, we elaborately design a red polymer carbon nitride (RPCN) consisting of S-N and Cu-N4 dual active sites (Cu/S-RPCN) to address this challenge, which achieves an impressive ethanol evolution rate of 50.4 µmol g-1 h-1 with 99.
