The Clinical Element Model (CEM) is a strategy designed to represent logical models for clinical data elements to ensure unambiguous data representation, interpretation, and exchange within and across heterogeneous sources and applications. The current representations of CEMs have limitations on expressing semantics and formal definitions of the structure and the semantics. Here we introduce our initial efforts on representing the CEM in OWL, so that the enrichment with OWL semantics and further semantic processing can be achieved in CEM. The focus of this paper is the CEM meta-ontology where the basic structures, the properties and their relationships, and the constraints are defined. These OWL representation specifications have been reviewed by CEM experts to ensure they capture the intended meaning of the model faithfully.

Objective: A simple and minimally invasive combined procedure, including transconjunctival orbital fat removal and transcutaneous resected orbital fat injection, was performed based on the anatomical characteristics of the lower eyelids in our young Chinese patients. Our study aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of this procedure in our study population.
Methods: In our retrospective study, a total of 183 consecutive patients underwent a combination of traditional transconjunctival blepharoplasty and nanofat grafting between February 2020 and June 2024.

Objectives: The goal of the current study was to assess the effectiveness of a peer integrated collaborative care intervention for postinjury outcomes.
Methods: Injury survivors ≥18 years of age were screened for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms and severe postinjury concerns; screen-positive patients were randomized to the intervention versus enhanced usual care control conditions. The collaborative care intervention included peer support and care management.

Objective: To investigate the role of PCBP1 in the inhibition of lung adenocarcinoma proliferation by carbon irradiation.
Methods: A549 cells were irradiated with different doses of carbon ions to observe clonal survival and detect changes in cell proliferation. Whole transcriptome sequencing and the Illumina platform were used to analyze the differentially expressed genes in A549 cells after carbon ion irradiation.

Background: Neuronal structure is disrupted after spinal cord injury (SCI), causing functional impairment. The effectiveness of exercise therapy (ET) in clinical settings for nerve remodeling post-SCI and its underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study aims to explore the effects and related mechanisms of ET on nerve remodeling in SCI rats.
