Unlabelled: There is paucity of data regarding tick-borne diseases during pregnancy. Here, we report a case of human granulocytic anaplasmosis during pregnancy with successful treatment and a favorable neonatal outcome. We also review diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes of published case reports from 1983 to 2010 of human granulocytic anaplasmosis, Lyme disease, babesiosis, and human monocytic ehrlichiosis in the United States.
Target Audience: Obstetricians and Gynecologists and Family Physicians.
Learning Objectives: After the completing the CME activity, physicians should be better able to diagnose tick-born diseases, implement best treatment options during the pregnancy, and assess the neonatal outcomes.

Inflammatory responses and lipid metabolism disorders are key components in the development of coronary artery disease and contribute to no-reflow after coronary intervention. This study aimed to investigate the association between the neutrophil to high-density lipoprotein ratio (NHR) and no-reflow phenomenon in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients after primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI). This study enrolled 288 patients with STEMI from September 1st, 2022 to February 29th, 2024, in the Zhengzhou Central Hospital Affiliated to Zhengzhou University.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a chronic inflammatory lung disease, and inflammation plays a key role in the pathogenesis of COPD. The aim of this study is to investigate the association between systemic immune inflammation index (SII), systemic inflammatory response index (SIRI),pan-immune inflammation value (PIV), neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and all-cause mortality in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and to evaluate the effect of composite inflammatory markers on the prognosis of COPD patients. We obtained data on COPD patients from the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care (MIMIC) -IV database and divided patients into four groups based on quartiles of baseline levels of inflammatory markers, The primary outcomes were in-hospital and ICU mortality.

Introduction: We assessed potential mechanisms behind the requirement for more frequent dupilumab dosing in eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) compared with other approved indications.
Methods: Results for the phase 3 LIBERTY EoE TREET study coprimary endpoints (proportion of patients achieving a peak intraepithelial eosinophil count of ≤6 eosinophils per high-power field and absolute change from baseline in Dysphagia Symptom Questionnaire total score) were pooled in exposure-response analyses.
Results: A steep initial relationship then plateau was observed between higher dupilumab steady-state trough concentrations and decreased eosinophilic infiltration at week 24, whereas a graded exposure-response relationship was observed for symptomatic improvement at week 24.

CSF1R-related leukoencephalopathy (CSF1R-L) and AARS2-related leukoencephalopathy (AARS2-L) were two disease entities sharing similar phenotype and even pathological changes. Although clinically, radiologically, and pathologically similar, they were caused by mutation of two different genes. As the rarity of the two diseases, the differential diagnosis of them was difficult.
