Objective: To evaluate the application of digital surgical technology in reconstruction of orbital frame and assess the treatment outcomes.
Methods: Seven patients with post-traumatic orbital defect were included in this study. Images of the orbit were obtained for each individual through computed tomography (CT). Preoperative design was finished according to rapid prototyping, computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) and other digital surgical techniques. Surgical fracture reductions with internal fixation and implant of Medpor were used in operation to reconstruct orbit as well as correct enophthalmos and diplopia.
Results: Accurate realignment of the displaced orbital rim was obtained in all the 7 patients, and enophthalmos and diplopia were corrected in 4 and 2 patients, respectively.
Conclusions: Digital techniques provide a precise means for preoperative design and operation implementation during orbital reconstruction. As a result, complications can be reduced, and the patient's facial appearance can be maximally improved.

Background: Transabdominal pre-peritoneal inguinal hernia repair using the da Vinci Single-Port robot (SP-TAPP) is currently performed in few centers. We aimed to define the learning curve for SP-TAPP by analyzing operative times.
Methods: The operative times of 122 SP-TAPP performed between 2019 and 2024 were retrospectively analyzed.

Background: Fibrous dysplasia (FD) is the most common benign tumor of the ribs, with surgical resection being the preferred treatment modality for rib FD, leading to enhanced quality of life and favorable outcomes. The complexity of surgical intervention varies depending on the location of costal FD, presenting challenges for both open surgical and thoracoscopic approaches. In this study, we present a novel technique for three-port robotic-assisted costectomy utilizing a Gigli saw, detailing our initial findings and outcomes.

Elevated IAP can reduce visceral perfusion, lead to intraabdominal hypertension, and result in life-threatening abdominal compartment syndrome. While ingestible capsular devices have been used for various abdominal diagnoses, their application in continuous IAP monitoring remains unproven.

Timely and effective rescue of critically ill children no longer solely relies on advanced medical technology; vascular access plays a pivotal role. Best practice recommendations for nursing in vascular access are critical for ICU patients. However, clear guidelines for the maintenance of external infusion connection devices remain lacking.
