The influence of several subthreshold laser procedures on chorioretinal complex (CRC) tissues was experimentally studied in rabbits using histological and histochemical methods. Subthreshold micropulse laser radiation and transpupillar thermotherapy were found to have the most attenuated and advantageous effect on CRC structure. The feature of subthreshold laser exposure is partly reversible selective changes in CRC, that have temporary stimulating effect on cellular metabolism and local regenerative processes providing an opportunity for still viable tissues to function adequately.

Micromodification in bulk undoped polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) by single focused (numerical aperture (NA) = 0.25), 1030-nm 250-fs laser pump pulses was explored by pump self-transmittance; optical, 3D-scanning confocal photoluminescence (PL); Raman micro-spectroscopy; and optical polarimetric and interferometric microscopy. Starting from the threshold pulse energy = 0.

The aim of this article is to comprehensively review the multimodal imaging (MMI) features that define perifoveal vascular anomalous complex (PVAC) and to update the optimal treatment strategies for this disorder with a focus also on the underlying pathogenetic mechanisms. This systematic review was performed based on a search of the PubMed and Embase databases of relevant papers on the subject of PVAC. PVAC is characterized by well-defined MMI findings, including remarkable morphological features with optical coherence tomography (OCT) and OCT angiography (OCTA).

Purpose: Assess the effectiveness of a subthreshold micropulse laser for treating a patient with polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy and subretinal fluid.
Observations: A 55-year-old female presented with left eye blurring vision and metamorphopsia, and her visual acuity was 20/60. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) and OCT angiography showed subretinal fluid and pigmented epithelium detachment with a small polyp under the retinal pigmented epithelium, which was diagnosed as polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy.

Purpose: To evaluate the treatment outcomes of subthreshold micropulse laser (SMPL) with a wavelength of 670 nm (red) for treatment-naïve diabetic macular edema (DME).
Methods: A retrospective observational study which included 42 eyes in 34 patients diagnosed with treatment-naïve DME was conducted. Twenty-one eyes underwent red SMPL and the other 21 eyes underwent intravitreal injection of aflibercept (IVA) as initial treatment and were followed up for 12 months.

Purpose: To assess the safe, lowest effective laser power of subthreshold micropulse laser (SML) for treating acute and chronic central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC) in Chinese patients.
Methods: Patients were distinguished with acute or chronic CSC based on focal or diffuse retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) leakage on fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA), with or without widespread RPE decompensation. Patients were categorized into five groups and treated with 577 nm yellow SML according to 50% titration power.
