Cornual ectopic pregnancy in a female with initial negative ultrasound.

Cornual pregnancies are a rare form of ectopic pregnancy that can be misdiagnosed as an intrauterine pregnancy via ultrasound. We report a 16-year-old adolescent girl with a cornual ectopic pregnancy and subsequent rupture in the emergency department.

A 23-year-old woman, conceived by ovulation induction presented at 10 weeks amenorrhea with abdominal pain and a positive urinary Beta HCG. 2D ultrasound suggested a right-sided ectopic pregnancy.
