Background: The effects of foot posture on the dynamic function of the lower limb during gait remains relatively unknown.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate lower limb kinematics between the normal and low arched foot during the gait cycle, particularly in the transverse plane.
Method: Twenty-four children, twelve with normal and twelve with low arched feet, aged 11-12 years underwent a lower limb three dimensional gait analysis. Temporo-spatial parameters and patterns and ranges of motion of kinematic data were examined for the pelvis, hip, knee and ankle throughout the gait cycle.
Results: Overall, there were very few differences found in the kinematics of the lower limbs between the normal and low arched group. Increased external hip rotation (6-7°) in the low arched group was the only bilateral significant difference (p<0.05) between the two foot groups. No significant differences existed in any temporo-spatial parameters between the two groups.
Conclusions: The increased external hip rotation and greater external foot progression angle in the low arched foot highlights the need to examine gait comprehensively to establish cause or effect of these differences observed and hence determine appropriate treatment.

Background: This systematic review and meta-analysis compared the accuracy of robotic-assisted dental implant placement (r-CAIS) with conventional freehand, static computer-assisted (s-CAIS), and dynamic computer-assisted (d-CAIS) techniques.
Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted in PubMed, Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar, and the Cochrane Library from January 2000 to January 2024. Studies meeting PICOST criteria, including clinical and in vitro studies, were included.

Background/aim: Studies on large cross-arch bridges in patients with severe periodontitis show that such bridges can stabilize the periodontal condition. However, it is not known if these bridges will reduce long-term tooth loss and what factors are important for their long-term survival. The aim of the study was to study all patients with Stages III/IV periodontitis who received cross-arch bridges for up 35 years in a private practice.

Background: Households in areas of socio-economic deprivation are more likely to consume diets low in fruit and vegetables. Fresh Street is a place-based fruit and vegetable voucher scheme with vouchers redeemable with local independent (non-supermarket) vendors. Paper vouchers are offered to all households in a geographical area regardless of household type, size, or income with no requirement to demonstrate need.

Background: The effectiveness of docetaxel in addition to next-generation androgen receptor-axis-targeted therapies and androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) for metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) remains unclear. We evaluated the efficacy of this combination through tumor volume-specific analysis.
Methods: Individual patient data were reconstructed from seven clinical trials focusing mHSPC (ARASENS, PEACE-1, TITAN, ENZAMET, ARCHES, STAMPEDE, and LATITUDE) through the Shiny method.

Background: Silver (Ag) nanoparticles (NPs) are used increasingly in consumer and healthcare fabrics due to their antimicrobial properties. Abrasive leaching experiments have shown that AgNPs can be released during textile wear and cause a dermal exposure. Derived-no-effect-limit value for AgNPs ranges from 0.
