Understanding the principles of wave physics paves the way for appropriate utilization and interpretation of sonography. In module 1 of the course series "Anesthesia Focused Sonography", the course participants will learn by lectures and practical training, how ultrasonic waves emerge, how they travel in human tissue, and how a picture is generated from their echo signals. Furthermore, the technology of an ultrasound system and the development of artifacts will be demonstrated; moreover, the Doppler effect and its implementation into current sonographic procedures will be presented as a central theme.

Glycogen storage disease type III (GSD III) is a rare metabolic disorder characterized by a deficiency of liver and muscle amylo-1,6-glucosidase. This condition presents with severe hepatic symptoms in childhood, mostly hepatomegaly, hypoglycemia in half of patients, while muscular complications may predominate in adulthood. Hepatic fibrosis, cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) are common complications in older patients.

Background: Developmental regression in children, in the absence of neurological damage or trauma, presents a significant diagnostic challenge. The complexity is further compounded when it is associated with psychotic symptoms.
Method: We discuss a case series of ten children aged 6-10 years, with neurotypical development, presenting with late-onset developmental regression (>6 years of age), their clinical course and outcome at 1 year.

Objective: A series of webinars covering widespread knowledge on paediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery topics was initiated by Association for European Paediatric and Congenital Cardiology, serving towards preparation for the Association for European Paediatric and Congenital Cardiology certification in paediatric and congenital cardiology. This study investigated the impact of webinars as educational tools for junior paediatric cardiologists in the post-COVID-19 pandemic era.
Materials And Methods: A cross-sectional survey design study using an online survey as a tool for the assessment of trainees.

The complicated neurological syndrome known as multiple sclerosis (MS) is typified by demyelination, inflammation, and neurodegeneration in the central nervous system (CNS). Managing this crippling illness requires an understanding of the complex interactions between neurophysiological systems, diagnostic techniques, and therapeutic methods. A complex series of processes, including immunological dysregulation, inflammation, and neurodegeneration, are involved in the pathogenesis of MS.
