Objective: To investigate the relationship between the uric acid to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio (UHR) and ALL-cause and cardiovascular mortality among diabetic patients.
Methods: This study utilized health data from diabetic patients included in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) from 1999 to 2018. The Kaplan-Meier curves was employed to preliminarily explore the association between UHR, its components, and all-cause and cardiovascular mortality in diabetic patients, as well as to analyze UHR levels and mortality across different genders.

Cytokinin signalling plays both positive and negative roles in plant resistance to pathogens. It is not clear whether the role of cytokinin changes at the different stages of pathogen infection. Arabidopsis thaliana sequentially exhibits distinct root morphological symptoms during Ralstonia solanacearum infection, which offers a good system to investigate function of cytokinin in the whole pathogen infection process.

Introduction: The incidence of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in Australia has tripled in the last 20 years. Consequently, over 40 000 pregnancies are now diagnosed as 'higher risk' each year. Objectives: To develop and validate a simplified Bleeding Audit Triage Trauma (sBATT) score for use by lay persons, or in areas and environments where physiological monitoring equipment may be unavailable or inappropriate.
Design: The sBATT was derived from the original BATT, which included prehospital systolic blood pressure (SBP), heart rate, respiratory rate, Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS), age and trauma mechanism. Variables suitable for lay interpretation without monitoring equipment were included (age, level of consciousness, absence of radial pulse, tachycardia and trapped status).
