Cancer sparks if the components of the cellular signaling network are aberrantly activated, leading to uncontrolled cell growth and proliferation. One of the most important players of this highly regulated network is the Wnt/β-catenin signaling, with a significant role in human health and disease. The critical co-receptor of this pathway, LRP6, is overexpressed in various cancer types and is a target for therapy.

Background: Centrifugal compressors are dynamic machines utilizing a rotating impeller, efficiently accelerate incoming gases, transforming kinetic energy into pressure energy for compression. They serve a wide range of industries, including air conditioning, refrigeration, gas turbines, industrial processes, and applications such as air compression, gas transportation, and petrochemicals, demonstrating their versatility. Designing a centrifugal compressor poses challenges related to achieving high aerodynamic efficiency, surge and choke control, material selection, rotor dynamics, cavitation, erosion, and addressing environmental considerations while balancing costs.

Laboratory-scale spin-coating techniques are widely employed for fabricating small-size, high-efficiency perovskite solar cells. However, achieving large-area, high-uniformity perovskite films and thus high-efficiency solar cell devices remain challenging due to the complex fluid dynamics and drying behaviors of perovskite precursor solutions during large-area fabrication processes. In this work, a high-quality, pinhole-free, large-area FAPbI perovskite film is successfully obtained via scalable blade-coating technology, assisted by a novel bidirectional Marangoni convection strategy.

Background: Successful periodontal regeneration depends on primary wound closure and interdental papilla preservation. In this case study, we introduce a novel triangle papilla access approach (T-PAA) performed under a surgical microscope for treating interdental bone defects. In this novel approach, buccal incisions were used to access root surfaces and bone defects, avoiding interdental papilla incisions and preventing papillary collapse and necrosis.

In this study, a predictive maintenance (PdM) system focused on feature selection for the detection and classification of simulated defects in wind turbine blades has been developed. Traditional PdM systems often rely on numerous, broadly chosen diagnostic indicators derived from vibration data, yet many of these features offer little added value and may even degrade model performance. General feature selection methods might not be suitable for PdM solutions, as information regarding observed faults is often misinterpreted or lost.
