Purpose: To evaluate the impact of stimulating the endometrium with high-grade blastocyst culture supernatant (SEHB) perfusion before blastocyst transfer (BT) on implantation rate, pregnancy rate, and pregnancy outcome in ICSI cycles.
Materials And Methods: Ninety-four infertile couples who were referred to the Valiasr department of Imam Hospital complex between January 2010 and March 2011 enrolled in this randomized clinical trial. They were randomly divided into only BT or SEHB groups. Implantation rates, pregnancy rates, abortion, preterm and term delivery rates were compared between the two groups.
Results: Implantation rates and pregnancy rates did not differ significantly between the two groups. The abortion rate was significantly higher in the BT only group while term delivery was significantly higher in SEHB group. Odds ratios of term delivery and abortion were 4.5 (p = 0.001) and 0.3 (p = 0.04), respectively.
Conclusion: The SEHB application may improve pregnancy outcome in infertile couples who are candidates for the ICSI reproductive method.

Background: Insulin resistance (IR) is a common pathophysiologic feature in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). However, there have been no studies investigating the association of IR surrogates with pregnancy outcomes in women with PCOS undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF). Therefore, we explored the association between these factors among PCOS patients.

Background: Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) may impact ovarian folliculogenesis and steroidogenesis, but whether prenatal exposure may impact offspring reproductive health is unknown. This study examines the extent to which maternal PFAS plasma concentrations during pregnancy are associated with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and related characteristics in female offspring.
Methods: We studied 322 mother-daughter pairs in Project Viva, a Boston-area longitudinal pre-birth cohort enrolled 1999-2002.

Objectives: To examine the predictors of parent-child bonding and parenting satisfaction using structural equation models at three time points across the perinatal period: (1) during pregnancy at >24 gestational weeks, (2) one month postpartum, and (3) three months postpartum.
Methods: This longitudinal exploratory quantitative study recruited a convenient sample of 118 heterosexual couples (236 participants; 118 mothers and 118 fathers) from maternity clinics of a public tertiary hospital in Singapore. Descriptive statistics were used to summarize the parents' characteristics and study variables.

Background: A giant encephalocele associated with Chiari malformation is a rare congenital anomaly from a cephalad neural tube defect. Early prenatal diagnosis and parental counseling are essential; as early surgical intervention can improve outcomes.
Methods: Between 2010 and 2023, twenty-seven newborns out of 43,815 delivered at our institution were diagnosed with encephaloceles, including seven cases of giant encephalocele associated with Chiari malformation type III.
