The authors proposed an image spectral library based band simulation method. Firstly, the authors clustered the reference image which has the same class composition with the target image by using its pixel spectrum similarity. Secondly, the authors fetched sample from the reference image base on the former cluster image, and then built the image spectral library. Thirdly, the authors fetched the same count of each type of samples to train the simulation model. Finally, the authors simulated the target band of the target image. The experiment results show that: firstly, this method can be more precise to simulate TM blue band, and increase more than 1.2 RMSE value than that of the "Spectral Library-image" model and more than 0.6 RMSE value than that of the "image-image" model. On the other hand, our method is more stable and reliable than the "image-image" and "Spectral Library-Image" simulation model; finally, this method can be successfully applied to the blue band simulation that SPOT and MSS lacked.

Identical, inelastic spheres crystallize when sheared between two parallel, bumpy planes under a constant load larger than a minimum value. We investigate the effect of the inter-particle friction coefficient of the sheared particles on the flow dynamics and the crystallization process with discrete element simulations. If the imposed load is about the minimum value to observe crystallization in frictionless spheres, adding small friction to the granular assembly results in a shear band adjacent to one of the planes and one crystallized region, where a plug flow is observed.

Black phosphorus (BP), a promising two-dimensional material, faces significant challenges for its applications due to its instability in air and water. Herein, molecular dynamics simulations reveal that a self-assembled ferrocene (FeCp) molecular layer can form on BP surfaces and remain stable in aqueous environments, predicting its effectiveness for passivation. This theoretical finding is corroborated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and optical microscopy observations.

The effect of confinement on the tetrahedral ordering of liquid water plays a vital role in controlling their microscopic structure and dynamics as well as their spectroscopic properties. In this article, we have performed the classical molecular dynamics simulations of four different CTAB/water/chloroform reverse micelles with varied water content to study how the tetrahedral ordering of nanoscale water inside reverse micellar confinement influences the microscopic dynamics and the structural relaxation of water···water hydrogen bonds and its impact on the low-frequency intermolecular vibrational bands. We have noticed from the results obtained from simulated trajectories the lowering trends of tetrahedral ordering of water pools in reverse micellar confinements as we move from bulk to confined and strictly confined environments.
