In the title coordination polymer, {[Sr(C(4)HO(4))(2)(H(2)O)(5)]·0.5H(2)O}(n), the Sr(2+) ion is coordinated by three monodentate hydrogensquarate (hsq) anions and six aqua ligands in a distorted SrO(9) monocapped square-anti-prismatic geometry. The hsq anions and water mol-ecules bridge the metal ions into infinite sheets lying parallel to (100). The O atom of the uncoordinated water mol-ecule lies on a crystallographic twofold axis. The packing is stabilized by numerous O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Chemiluminescence of doped carbon dots with HO-KMnO system for the detection of Cu and tannin.

Spectrochim Acta A Mol Biomol Spectrosc

School of Chemistry and Material Science, Shanxi Normal University, Linfen 041000, Shanxi, PR China. Electronic address:

The carbon dots doped with chlorine and phosphorus (CDs-Cl,P) were used as chemiluminescence (CL) reagent for the sensitive detection of copper ions (Cu) and tannin (TA). The CDs-Cl,P was found to strongly enhance the reaction of HO and KMnO in alkaline medium. The enhanced CL behavior of CDs-Cl,P was investigated and it was found that some radicals such as OH, O and O appeared in the CL reaction process.

Introducing redox-active moieties into an ionic liquid (IL) structure is an exciting and attractive approach that has received increasing interest over recent years for a various range of energy applications. The so-called redox-active ionic liquids (RAILs) provide a highly versatile platform to potentially create multifunctional electroactive materials. Ionic liquids are molten salts consisting of ionic species, often having a melting point lower than 100 °C.

The nano zero-valent iron sludge-based biochar (nZVI-SBC) was prepared in this study to eliminate Sb(III) from aqueous solutions, which was characterized by BET, SEM, XRD, TEM, FTIR, XPS. Our results proved that the incorporated nZVI on SBC matrix could significantly enhance eliminating Sb(III), and the max-adsorption capacity (160.40 mg g) can be achieved at pH = 4.

Antiferroelectric Phase Transition in a Proton-Transfer Salt of Squaric Acid and 2,3-Dimethylpyrazine.

Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry , Florida State University, 95 Chieftan Way , Tallahassee , Florida 32306 , United States.

A proton-transfer reaction between squaric acid (Hsq) and 2,3-dimethylpyrazine (2,3-Mepyz) results in crystallization of a new organic antiferroelectric (AFE), (2,3-MepyzH)(Hsq)·HO (), which possesses a layered structure. The structure of each layer can be described as partitioned into strips lined with methyl groups of the MepyzH cations and strips featuring extensive hydrogen bonding between the Hsq anions and water molecules. Variable-temperature dielectric measurements and crystal structures determined through a combination of single-crystal X-ray and neutron diffraction reveal an AFE ordering at 104 K.

Copper nanoclusters-enhanced chemiluminescence for folic acid and nitrite detection.

Spectrochim Acta A Mol Biomol Spectrosc

March 2019

School of Chemistry and Material Science, Shanxi Normal University, Linfen 041004, Shanxi, PR China.

The reaction between diperiodatoargentate(III) (DPA) and folic acid (FA) produced weak chemiluminescence (CL) in acid medium, which was greatly enhanced in the presence of copper nanoclusters (CuNCs). The CL intensity of CuNCs-DPA-FA system increased with the concentration of FA ranging from 0.1 to 10.
