Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) is a rare cystic lung disease that causes progressive pulmonary damage. It typically affects young reproductive-age females with tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC). The clinical manifestations of LAM result from the progressive invasion of abnormal smooth muscle cells into lung parenchyma, lymphatics, or pulmonary vasculature.

Spontaneous pneumothorax (SP) is a condition defined by abnormal gas accumulation in the chest cavity. Mutations of the collagen type III alpha 1 chain, COL3A1 gene, are primarily linked to vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (vEDS); however, they can also contribute to structural changes in the tissue, like bullae of the lungs. In this case report, we present a young, thinly built boy who died due to a spontaneous pneumothorax.

Background: The aim of this study was to investigate the clinical characteristics of severe pneumonia caused by human bocavirus (HBoV) infection to explore the associated risk factors.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective review of data from children hospitalized with HBoV pneumonia. Based on the severity of pneumonia, patients were categorized into severe pneumonia and non-severe pneumonia groups.

Introduction: Road traffic accidents (RTA) account for a sizable portion of morbidity and mortality globally, with a particularly high incidence among young and active individuals. Patients presenting with polytrauma require a multidisciplinary approach guided by protocols for advanced trauma life support.
Case Report: We report the case of a 31-year-old female, transferred-in to our center following primary care after an RTA on June 17th, 2023.

Patient Concerns: A case of a 60-year-old female experienced the rare yet critical complication of a misplaced nasoenteric tube entering the thoracic cavity during a blind insertion procedure for enteral nutrition following a liver transplant.
