Faded, or actively removed text on thermally printed paper samples may be enhanced and retrieved through the use of a simple iodine fuming procedure. The recovery of printed documentation evidence in this fashion is neither affected by prior fingerprint enhancement techniques (such as ninhydrin or DFO), nor by sample age. This method allows, for the first time, evidence to be obtained from completely faded thermal paper samples (receipts, for example) as well as allowing deliberately removed printed text (a consequence of solvent washing pre-treatment in latent fingerprint enhancement procedures) to be recovered.

Plant-based macromolecules such as lignocellulosic fibers are one of the promising bio-resources to be utilized as reinforcement for developing sustainable composites. However, due to their hydrophilic nature and weak interfacial bonding with polymer matrices, these fibers are mostly incompatible with biopolymers. The current research endeavor explores the novel eco-friendly oxalic acid (CHO.

Customized nano-biocatalysts of laccase have been made using nano-structured polyaniline viz. nano-fibers and nano-tubes, as immobilization supports and a simultaneous comparison between them has been made. Laccases are poly-phenol oxidases having tremendous utility concerning wider areas of application especially in the field of organic and drug syntheses.

Heat stress disturbs cellular homeostasis and alters the fitness of individual organisms. However, it is unclear whether thermal perturbations exacerbate the toxic effects of per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFASs) on trophic endpoints in freshwater ecosystems. We conducted a mesocosm experiment to investigate the impact of warming and PFASs on the widespread submerged macrophytes (Hydrilla verticillata) at a molecular level.

Diclofenac (DIC) is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug with poor tabletability and water solubility. In the present study, a new diclofenac-picolinamide cocrystal (DIC-PIC) was prepared to simultaneously improve its tabletability and solubility. The cocrystal was characterized using multiple techniques, such as X-ray diffraction, thermal methods and spectral analyses.

Idesia polycarpa Maxim (IPM) cake meal, a major by-product of oil extraction, is often discarded in large quantities, resulting in considerable waste. This study explored the extraction of IPM polysaccharides (IPMPs) from cake meal using the innovative ultrasonic-assisted three-phase partitioning (UTPP) method, in comparison with conventional techniques, including acid, medium-temperature alkali, chelating agent, and enzyme extraction methods. The IPMP-UT prepared via UTPP method achieved superior extraction efficiency (10.
