Purpose: Parathyroid carcinoma (PC) is an extremely rare disease, typically presenting with marked elevations of serum calcium concentrations and associated with significantly increased parathyroid hormone (PTH) levels. Although it progresses slowly, approximately25% of PC patients have lung metastases. In the present study, we aimed to evaluate the role of technetium-99m methoxy isobutyl isonitrile (Tc-99m-MIBI; sestamibi) SPECT/CT scintigraphy in the preoperative localization of parathyroid adenomas, incidental metastases findings of PC, and ectopic parathyroid tissue.

A 53-year-old woman of primary hyperparathyroidism with both ultrasound neck examination and planar 99m Tc-MIBI scan being negative revealed a tracer-avid focus in the left submandibular region in early (15 minutes postinjection) 99m Tc-MIBI SPECT/CT views, raising a suspicion of rare ectopic parathyroid adenoma. This finding was correlated on 4D-CT and confirmed on histopathology following surgical excision. Submandibular region is an unusual location for ectopic parathyroid adenoma.

Background: Since October 2018, lymph node status has become part of the FIGO staging, given that it is one of the most important prognostic factors among women with CC. The aim was to determine the rate of atypical lymphatic drainage in patients with clinical early-stage cervical cancer using a hybrid tracer (ICG-Tc nanocolloid).
Methodology: A prospective, observational, single-centre study conducted at Son Espases University Hospital between January 2019 and October 2023.

The hot quadrate sign is defined as an intense arterial enhancement in the hepatic quadrate lobe, most frequently encountered on CT angiograms in patients with central venous occlusion. It has also been described as focal uptake on technetium-99m (Tc99m) sulfur colloid scans. We present an unusual case of focal uptake in the hepatic quadrate lobe on a ventilation-perfusion (V/Q) scan, corresponding to the hot quadrate sign in a 42-year-old patient with chronic kidney disease and central venous occlusion.

A 54-year-old male with biopsy-confirmed Gleason 4+4 prostate cancer underwent F-DCFPyL-PSMA PET scan to identify occult metastatic disease. This scan revealed abnormal radionuclide uptake not only in the prostate but also within the patient's vasculature. The scan was repeated after a week with a separate tracer batch, yielding the same result.
