Dispersion, static correlation, and delocalisation errors in density functional theory are considered from the unconventional perspective of the force on a nucleus in a stretched diatomic molecule. The electrostatic theorem of Feynman is used to relate errors in the forces to errors in the electron density distortions, which in turn are related to erroneous terms in the Kohn-Sham equations. For H(2), the exact dispersion force arises from a subtle density distortion; the static correlation error leads to an overestimated force due to an exaggerated distortion. For H(2)(+), the exact force arises from a delicate balance between attractive and repulsive components; the delocalisation error leads to an underestimated force due to an underestimated distortion. The net force in H(2)(+) can become repulsive, giving the characteristic barrier in the potential energy curve. Increasing the fraction of long-range exact orbital exchange increases the distortion, reducing delocalisation error but increasing static correlation error.

Purpose: Since fibroblast activation protein (FAP), one predominant biomarker of cancer associated fibroblasts (CAFs), is highly expressed in the tumor stroma of various epidermal-derived cancers, targeting FAP for tumor diagnosis and treatment has shown substantial potentials in both preclinical and clinical studies. However, in preclinical settings, tumor-bearing mice exhibit relatively low absolute FAP expression levels, leading to challenges in acquiring high-quality PET images using radiolabeled FAP ligands (FAPIs) with low molar activity, because of which a saturation effect in imaging is prone to happen. Moreover, how exactly the molar dose of FAPI administered to a mouse influences the targeted PET imaging and radiotherapy remains unclear now.

Traffic flow prediction is a pivotal element in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITSs) that provides significant opportunities for real-world applications. Capturing complex and dynamic spatio-temporal patterns within traffic data remains a significant challenge for traffic flow prediction. Different approaches to effectively modeling complex spatio-temporal correlations within traffic data have been proposed.

Fertility disorders are a worldwide problem affecting 8-12% of the population, with the male factor substantially contributing to about 40-50% of all infertility cases. Mitochondria, crucial organelles for cellular viability, play a pivotal role in the processes of spermatogenesis and significantly affect sperm quality and their fertilizing ability. Mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) dysfunction, reduced energy supply for sperm, reduced endogenous coenzyme Q (CoQ) levels, and oxidative stress are among the main factors that contribute to male infertility.

The present paper investigates the possibility of replacing the traditional L-type corner joint used in chair construction with a 3D printed connector, manufactured using the Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) method and black PLA as filament. The connector was designed to assemble the legs with seat rails and stretchers, and it was tested under diagonal tensile and compression loads. Its performance was compared to that of the traditional mortise-and-tenon joint.

This paper presents an experimental study on the elastic support in a discrete rail fastening system used in a ballastless tram track structure. The study focuses on the elastic support of the anchor element, specifically the Pm49 baseplate. These elements significantly influence environmental pollution along tram routes, such as vibration (at low frequencies) or noise (at high frequencies), as well as static and dynamic rail deflections.
