An 11-year-old girl reported with an intraoral swelling which was noticed by her mother at birth and increased to its present size during the last year A thorough clinical examination did not shed a conclusive diagnosis. This case highlights and discusses the history, clinical features, histologic features, differential diagnosis and the clinical management of this lesion. Awareness of such an entity will enrich the knowledge of the pediatric dentists who may be the first ones to encounter such cases in their day-to-day practice.

Choristoma (aberrant rest or heterotopic tissue) is defined as a histologically normal tissue proliferation, which is not normally found in the anatomic site of proliferation. Choristoma with a proliferation of chondroid tissue is known as cartilaginous choristoma. Clinically, they present as a painless firm nodule and may produce local dysfunction.

An unusual benign skin tumor is reported occurring in a 68-year-old woman with no significant medical history. The lesion presented as a small skin nodule in the neck. Histologic examination showed a well-circumscribed superficial dermal nodule composed of a solid proliferation of large, round cells with abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm and small centrally placed nuclei displaying a vaguely chondroid appearance.

Introduction And Importance: Choristomas are benign growth of normal tissue in abnormal location and in the ophthalmic practice, they are more commonly found in the epibulbar region. Intraocular choristoma has been reported in different ocular structures but it is very rare especially in association with microphthalmos.
Case Presentation: We present a 13-month-old child with bilateral microphthalmia with the left side being more significantly smaller than the right that required enucleation for introducing a larger silicone implant.
