Objective: To definitive axial length measuring mode of the phakic eyes after posterior chamber implantation of lens.
Methods: All patients came from the Ophthalmology Hospital of China Medical University. Seventy patients with 135 eyes, aged 21 - 48 years old. Among this group 28 were male, 53 eyes; 42 were female, 82 eyes. A-ultrasound and IOL-Master was used to measure axial length one week before preoperative and three months after ICL implantation. There are two measuring mode in A-ultrasound and IOL-Master: normal and special. All the results were analysed by the SPSS11.5 statistical methods.
Results: (1) preoperative AXL of A-ultrasound and IOL-Master average are: (27.81 ± 0.22) mm, (28.02 ± 0.22) mm; (2) postoperative AXL of phakic and Pseudophakic PMMA mode of IOL-Master average are: (28.01 ± 0.22) mm, (28.12 ± 0.22) mm; (3) postoperative AXL of normal and special mode of A-ultrasound average are: (27.82 ± 0.22) mm, (26.40 ± 0.21) mm.
Conclusion: According to the different measuring mode, there are some difference of AXL between the preoperative and postoperative ICL. The more accurately measuring mode is IOL-Master phakic mode before and after operation. A-ultrasound normal mode can be used if the lens become so turbid that the AXL can't be obtained by IOL-Master.

Human experiences are inherently shaped by individual perspectives, leading to diverse interpretations of the same events. However, shared activities, such as communal film watching or sports viewing, underscore the dual nature of these experiences: collective joy arises through social interactions, while individual emotional responses are influenced by personal preferences. The neural mechanisms underlying this interplay between shared and idiosyncratic experiences, particularly in the context of reward processing, remain insufficiently explored.

Epilepsy is a serious neurological disease that impacts all facets of a patient's life, including their socioeconomic situation. The failure to identify underlying epileptic signatures in their early stages might result in severe harm to the central nervous system (CNS) and permanent adverse changes to some organs. Therefore, numerous antiepileptic drugs (AEDs are frequently used to control and treat the frequency of seizures.

Grouping of chemicals has been proposed as a strategy to speed up the screening and identification of potential substances of concern among the broad chemical universe under REACH. Such grouping is usually based on shared structural features and should only be used for the prioritization objectives. However, additional considerations (as well as structural similarity) are needed, e.

To shed light on the significance of thiazole derivatives in the advancement of cancer medication and to contribute to therapeutic innovation, we have designed the synthesis and antiproliferative activity investigation of 5-(1,3-dioxoisoindolin-2-yl)-7-(4-nitrophenyl)-2-thioxo-3,7-dihydro-2H-pyrano[2,3-d] thiazole-6-carbonitrile, the structure of thiazole derivative was confirmed by spectroscopic techniques UV, IR and NMR. The cytotoxic activity (in vitro) of the new hybrid synthesized compound on five human cancer cell lines; human liver hepatocellular carcinoma (HepG-2), colorectal carcinoma (HCT-116), breast adenocarcinoma (MCF-7), and epithelioid carcinoma (Hela), and a normal human lung fibroblast (WI-38) was studied using MTT assay. The compound exhibited a strong cytotoxicity effect against HepG-2 and MCF-7.

We measure the high-intensity laser propagation throughout meter-scale, channel-guided laser-plasma accelerators by adjusting the length of the plasma channel on a shot-by-shot basis, showing high-quality guiding of 500 TW laser pulses over 30 cm in a hydrogen plasma of density n_{0}≈1×10^{17} cm^{-3}. We observed transverse energy transport of higher-order modes in the first ≈12 cm of the plasma channel, followed by quasimatched propagation, and the gradual, dark-current-free depletion of laser energy to the wake. We quantify the laser-to-wake transfer efficiency limitations of currently available petawatt-class lasers and demonstrate via simulation how control over the laser mode can significantly improve beam parameters.
