We report a case of a 66-year-old woman, who was treated for a circumferential tumefaction of the middle phalanx of the third finger, evolving for one year. The excision-biopsy of the phalanx led to the diagnosis of an osseous tuberculosis. Through this exceptional case, the authors made a review of the literature on the clinical, radiological and evolutionary aspects of the digital osseous tuberculosis.

A total of 98 adult patients with thoracolumbar tuberculosis undergoing anterior surgery in our hospital from February 2020 to December 2023 were selected, and the clinical data and postoperative complications were collected. The clinical characteristics were analyzed, and the risk factors related to surgical complications were analyzed by univariate analysis and multi-factor logistic regression model.
