Background: Helminths induced eosinophilia is well known. Recent studies have been demonstrating that Giardia Lamblia is also able to cause eosinophilia and suggest that children with giardiasis have a higher risk of food allergy.
Case Report: Newborn premature male patient, admitted to neonatology unit since birth, who presented persistent eosinophilia, associated with vomiting and abdominal distention when he ingested a not hydrolyzed milk formula. The subsequent study revealed milk allergy (grade II/III) but also of Giardia on stool. The child was treated with metronidazol with clinical improvement.
Conclusion: This case pretends to underline the importance of person-to-person transmission as far as Giardia infection is concerned and especially among young children. We also would like to emphasize a possible relation between giardiasis and food allergy, which has occasionally been described in recent literature.

Transient abnormal myelopoiesis is a syndrome that causes excess proliferation of immature myeloid cells and occurs in 10% to 15% of neonates with trisomy 21. Transient abnormal myelopoiesis usually resolves spontaneously but occasionally requires treatment with chemotherapy. The disorder is not typically associated with eosinophilia.

Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) is a common complication of preterm birth. Despite this, genetic drivers of BPD are poorly understood. The objective of this study is to better understand the impact of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) previously associated with BPD by examining associations with other phenotypes.

Background: Identifying children needing endoscopic evaluation for suspected eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) is crucial for prompt diagnosis and management.
Aims: We aimed to develop a clinical prediction tool to distinguish children with EoE from children without the disease before endoscopy.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective case-control study of children undergoing upper endoscopy at a tertiary care center.
