AI Article Synopsis

  • The article focuses on the tools and software necessary for creating 3D facial images and evaluates the accuracy of assessments made with this equipment.
  • It discusses how overlaying preoperative and postoperative 3D images allows for a clear evaluation of surgical changes after procedures.
  • Specific rhinoplasty techniques, like nasal dorsal augmentation and tip projection enhancement, are analyzed in terms of the 3D changes they produce.

Article Abstract

This article describes the equipment and software used to create facial 3D imaging and discusses the validation and reliability of the objective assessments done using this equipment. By overlaying preoperative and postoperative 3D images, it is possible to assess the surgical changes in 3D. Methods are described to assess the 3D changes from the rhinoplasty techniques of nasal dorsal augmentation, increasing tip projection, narrowing the nose, and nasal lengthening.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty with hyaluronic acid (HA) filler is a three-dimensional reshaping technique that achieves tissue enhancement by placing HA deep to nasal skin. Due to its unique rheology, Restylane® Lyft (HA-L, Galderma, Uppsala, Sweden) may be particularly well-suited for injection rhinoplasty, as it has high gel firmness (G') for strong structural support with minimal integration propensity. A prospective clinical trial was conducted to evaluate HA-L use for non-surgical rhinoplasty.
