Interdisciplinary treatment also has expanded to include not only soft tissue assessment of the periodontal components of the dentition and smile, but of the face as well. The next level of esthetic enhancement certainly will include facial proportionality as a key component in our patient evaluation. Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) offers remarkable insights into cellular development and differentiation by capturing the gene expression profiles of individual cells. The role of dimensionality reduction and visualization in the interpretation of scRNA-seq data has gained widely acceptance. However, current methods face several challenges, including incomplete structure-preserving strategies and high distortion in embeddings, which fail to effectively model complex cell trajectories with multiple branches.

The pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) had a major impact on the health of people worldwide, including the pediatric inflammatory bowel disease (PIBD) patients. As no study has investigated the susceptibility and disease course of COVID-19 in PIBD patients after the end of zero-COVID policy in China, we conducted a retrospective cross-sectional study in our center. A cross-sectional survey enrolling PIBD patients has been completed by online survey, phone, and face-to-face assessment.

Background: Early diagnosis of degenerative cervical myelopathy (DCM) is often challenging due to subtle, non-specific symptoms, limited disease awareness and a lack of definitive diagnostic criteria. As primary care physicians are typically the first to encounter patients with early DCM, equipping them with effective screening tools is crucial for reducing diagnostic delays and improving patient outcomes. This systematic review evaluates the efficacy of quantitative screening methods for DCM that can be implemented in primary care settings.

Bell palsy (BP) is an acquired, idiopathic facial palsy linked to lower motor neuron malfunction of the seventh cranial nerve. Several studies have identified BP as one of the many neuropathies that coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients have developed, while other studies disagree. To study if there is an association between BP in pediatric patients and COVID-19, and to examine the pattern of recovery in all pediatric cases of BP during the COVID-19 pandemic.
