Surgical treatment of scalp burn sequelae has achieved a decisive step with the use of tissue expansion. First, authors propose a brief recap on anatomy, physiopathology and usual surgical processes. Then they describe in details the tissue expansion and present some experimental results. As a conclusion, they discuss the learning curve associated with such a process.

Idiopathic upper eyelid retraction is a rare ocular symptom characterized by abnormal upward displacement of the upper eyelid, often without any identifiable systemic disease. This condition not only affects the patient's appearance but may also have a certain impact on their daily life and mental health. We report a case of adult idiopathic unilateral upper eyelid retraction, and based on the patient's specific condition, we used graded anterior plate blepharoplasty for treatment.

Background: On June 13, 2020, an explosion involving a liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker truck occurred in eastern China. Fifteen patients with extremely severe burns (referred to as "June 13" patients) were treated in the burn-intensive care unit (ICU) joint ward within the general ICU.
