Objective: To perform a statistical analysis with variables that have influence on pregnancy rates to establish a prognostic factor of each one.
Patients And Methods: We performed a retrospective, descriptive, and observational study with 240 patients that underwent to IVF-ET program. The analyzed variables were: infertility factor, ovarian stimulation protocol, age of patients, basal hormonal levels, oestradiol preovulatory levels, endometrial characteristics, fertilization rate, number and quality of oocytes, number and quality of embryos, and difficulty of the embryo transfer.
Results: The mean age of the patients was 34 +/- 4.42 years old. Tubal and pelvic pathologies were the main infertility cause. During the statistical analysis we observed that the only variables with differences regarding pregnancy were the number of cells in the embryo (7.18 vs 5.9), the fertilization rate (58.3 vs 50.1%), and the number of transferred embryos. With the logistic regression analysis we observed that the number of cells on each embryo had a relative risk of 1.37 (CI 95%; 1.15-1.63), and that the number of transferred embryos had one of 1.63 (CI 95%; 1.10-1.58).
Conclusions: There are many variables that influence the pregnancy rates, but with our results we consider that the embryo quality, its characteristics and the number of transferred embryos could predict better the possibilities of pregnancy in IVF-ET programs.

Introduction: Endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) is commonly used for diagnosing mediastinal lymphadenopathy. Despite a low complication rate, severe hemorrhage can occur which is reported in this literature, particularly in hypervascular conditions like Castleman disease.
Methods: A 54-year-old male with idiopathic multicentric Castleman disease underwent EBUS-TBNA for mediastinal lymph node sampling.

Polyacrylonitrile (PAN)-based composite solid electrolytes (CSEs) hold great promise in the practical deployment of solid lithium batteries (SLBs) owing to their high voltage stability but suffer from poor stability against Li-metal. Herein, a poly(1,3-dioxolane) (PDOL)-graphitic CN (g-CN, i.e.

Background: Estriol (E3) is a common estrogen responsible for regulating the female reproductive system, but excessive amount can pose health risks to humans and wild life. Therefore, sensitive and accurate detection of estriol level is crucial. A novel competitive ECL immunosensor based on a dual signal amplification strategy of AuNPs@GO@SmMoSe and Gd(MoO) was fabricated for ultrasensitive detection of estriol.

Introduction: Peripheral intravenous cannulation (PIVC) is a common and complex procedure with low first-attempt success rates, causing patient suffering and increased healthcare costs. Quiet Eye (QE) training, a gaze-focused approach, has shown promise in improving procedural PIVC skills. We will examine the effectiveness of traditional technical training (TT) and QE training (QET) on student nurse PIVC performance.

The global increase of overweight and obesity in children and adults is one of the most prominent public health threats, often accompanied by insulin resistance, hypertension, and dyslipidemia. The simultaneous occurrence of these health problems is referred to as metabolic syndrome. Various criteria have been proposed to define this syndrome, but no general consensus on the specific markers and the respective cut-offs has been achieved yet.
