The use of 3D-printed electrodes is reported fabricated from in-house conductive filament composed of a mixture of recycled poly (lactic acid) (rPLA), graphite (Gpt), and carbon black (CB) for fast detection of the abused drug ketamine. Firstly, the performance of these electrodes was evaluated in comparison to 3D-printed electrodes produced employing a commercially available conductive filament. The efficiency of ultrafiltration (UF) of acidified skim milk (SM) is impaired by protein aggregation and mineral scaling. The aim of this study is to assess the potential of acidification by electrodialysis with bipolar membranes (EDBM), in comparison with citric acid (CA), prior to the UF process on filtration performance, fouling and composition of the protein concentrates. Electro-acidification, facilitated by a water-splitting reaction, decreased the pH of milk to ∼ 5.

Mulberry silk (Bombyx mori) and eri silk (Samia/Philosamia ricini) are widely used silks. Eri silk is a wild silk that contains an arginine-glycine-aspartic acid tripeptide sequence within its structure, making it a potential and sustainable biomaterial. However, its poor solubility using conventional methods has resulted in limited research compared with that of mulberry silk fibroin.

In this study, a novel imidazolium-based ionic liquid (IL) coating was developed for stir bar sorptive extraction (SBSE) using a sol-gel method. The effects of different counterions, conditioning temperatures and polymer compositions were investigated. The stir bar with bis((trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl) amide 1-butyl-3-(3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl)-1H-imidazol-3-ium showed good mechanical and thermal stability with high resistance to water solubilization.
