The chemical composition of some glass samples in Jin and Yuan Dynasty were analyzed by EDXRF, to discuss the technological character of these glass samples. The result shows that the chemical composition of these glass samples is very complex. According to the chemical composition, these glass samples include K2-O-CaO-SiO2, Na2O-CaO-SiO2 and K2O-CaO-PbO-SiO2 glass, and a crystal SiO2 sample which was once considered a glass sample. The reason for the color of all blue glass samples is the existence of CuO, but not CoO.

In this study, a pyrolysis-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry method was established to quantify microplastics (MPs) released from plastic food containers during rinsing and migration. The inner surface of actual samples was rinsed with deionized water, and the MPs in rinse water were collected through a glass fiber membrane with pore size of 1 μm. Background: Arsenic emerges as most potent hazardous element ranked as number one in ATSDR (Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry) list, can easily accumulate in fish, transported to humans via consumption and affect humans and aquatic organisms. Methods: By applying complete randomized design sampling acclimatized individuals of Labeo rohita (10 batches of 10 each with triplicates) were exposed to nine definitive doses (12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26 and 28 mgL) of arsenic in glass aquaria to determine 96-h lethal concentration (LC) of arsenic.
