Integrating mobile monitoring data with street view images (SVIs) holds promise for predicting local air pollution. However, algorithms, sampling strategies, and image quality introduce extra errors due to a lack of reliable references that quantify their effects. To bridge this gap, we employed 314 taxis to monitor NO, NO, PM, and PM, and extracted features from ∼382,000 SVIs at multiple angles (0°, 90°, 180°, 270°) and buffer radii (100-500 m).

The honeydew moth, Millière (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae), is native to the Mediterranean Basin. However, it has recently been reported as an emerging grapevine pest in southern European Union countries and in the Middle East, North Africa, and South America. This may be attributed to the global warming trends.

Gap junction (GJ) channels, formed of connexin (Cx) protein, enable direct intercellular communication in most vertebrate tissues. One of the key biophysical characteristics of these channels is their unitary conductance, which can be affected by mutations in Cx genes and various biochemical factors, such as posttranslational modifications. Due to the unique intercellular configuration of GJ channels, recording single-channel currents is challenging, and precise data on unitary conductances of some Cx isoforms remain limited.

Background: The aim of this study was to investigate the difference between perceived and calculated diabetes risks among post-myocardial infarction (AMI) patients using the Finnish Diabetes Risk Score (FINDRISC).
Methods: The study population includes individuals from the Myocardial Infarction Registry in Augsburg, Germany, who had not been previously diagnosed with diabetes and who received a postal follow-up questionnaire after hospital discharge. A total of 466 participants completed the questionnaire, which collected information on age, sex, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, physical activity, eating habits, use of antihypertensive medication, previous hyperglycemia, and family history of diabetes.

Purpose: Most auditory-perceptual voice research utilizes the judgments of trained listeners rather than everyday listeners with no previous training in speech pathology. Online crowdsourcing of behavioral data from untrained participants is rapidly increasing in popularity but has yet to be a common procedure for auditory-perceptual studies of the voice. The objective of this pilot study was to assess the functionality of this model for judgments of voice by using an online experiment platform to replicate a lab-based, voice-specific age estimation study.
