East Coast Fever (ECF) is one of the leading causes of livestock mortality and reduced productivity across Eastern Africa, and while a live vaccine against it known as the Infection and Treatment Method has existed for three decades now, its adoption by affected communities remains low. This study sought to provide a detailed examination of the dynamics that shape Infection Treatment Method (ITM) vaccine adoption behaviours. The study examined individual, socio-cultural and ecological- level factors influencing ITM adoption using the socio-ecological model.

The local environment of the active site, such as the confinement of hydronium ions within zeolite pores, significantly influences catalytic turnover, similar to enzyme functionality. This study explores these effects in the hydrolysis of guaiacols─lignin-derived compounds─over zeolites in water. In addition to the interesting catechol products, this reaction is advantageous for study due to its bimolecular hydrolysis pathway, which involves a single energy barrier and no intermediates, simplifying kinetic studies and result interpretation.

Cherenkov radiation (CR) is a fascinating phenomenon that occurs not only in electromagnetic (EM) waves but also in water waves. The V-shaped wake formed by a moving object on the water surface results from the constructive interference of water waves of different wavelengths, similar to CR. We designed and fabricated a one-dimensional (1D) water wave crystal to analogize the behavior of moving particles in water waves.
