The radiation exposure to bystanders from nuclear medicine patients is a common concern raised in nuclear medicine departments. The GATE (Geant4 Application for Tomographic Emission) Monte Carlo radiation transport application was used to estimate the dose to a bystander. Two voxelised phantoms were utilised in a GATE Monte Carlo simulation as the radiation source and target.

Klippel-Feil syndrome (KFS) is a rare congenital disorder characterized by the fusion of cervical vertebrae, with a clinical presentation that can vary widely due to genetic and phenotypic diversity. While KFS can occur as an isolated anomaly, it is often associated with other congenital conditions, such as Sprengel deformity, which may present with or without an omovertebral bone, complicating diagnosis and management. This particular case also involves diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), the most common subtype of non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Objective: This study aimed to develop a simple machine-learning model incorporating lymph node metastasis status with F-18 Fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (FDG PET/CT) and clinical information for predicting regional lymph node metastasis in patients with colon cancer.
Methods: This retrospective study included 193 patients diagnosed with colon cancer between January 2014 and December 2017. All patients underwent F-18 FDG PET/CT and blood test before surgery.

Background/objectives: Accurate diagnosis is essential to avoid unnecessary procedures for thyroid incidentalomas (TIs). Advances in radiomics and machine learning applied to medical imaging offer promise for assessing thyroid nodules. This study utilized radiomics analysis on F-18 FDG PET/CT to improve preoperative differential diagnosis of TIs.

Cervical cancer is the most important cancer type found in women throughout the world. Numerous research studies are being performed to investigate the effectiveness of different strategies for the imaging and treatment of locally advanced cervical cancer, which are showing favorable outcomes. Brachytherapy is characterized by the application of very high radiation doses to target tumor cells with the least exposure to normal tissues.
