The method of combined videothoracoscopic atypical pulmonary resection, permitting to apply endostaplers and standard staplers in one intervention procedure, was elaborated. The method was applied in 47 patients in various pulmonary diseases without severe complications, all the patients are alive. Economic expedience of the method application, permitting to reduce usage of endostaplers, was shown.

Background: Thymic neuroendocrine tumor as a cause of Cushing syndrome is extremely rare in children.
Case Presentation: We report a case of a 10-year-old girl who presented with typical symptoms and signs of hypercortisolemia, including bone fractures, growth retardation, and kidney stones. The patient was managed with oral ketoconazole, during which she experienced adrenal insufficiency, possibly due to either cyclic adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) secretion or concurrent COVID-19 infection.

Background And Aim: Median sternotomy is an unfavourable approach for performing lung resection and mediastinal lymphadenectomy. Some studies have speculated that concurrent pulmonary resections other than upper lobectomy, necessitate anterolateral thoracotomy in addition to sternotomy. In this study, we aimed to discuss the feasibility and advantages of concomitant video-thoracoscopy (VATS) assisted lower lobectomy after coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG).

Background: Pulmonary sarcomatoid cancer (PSC) is a very rare subtype of poorly differentiated non-small-lung-cancer (NSCLC) with very poor prognosis. To date, the optimal treatment for PSC has not been elucidated, and the efficacy of anlotinib in PSC has not been previously reported.
Case Presentation: A 77-year-old male patient was admitted with cough, expectoration, and blood-stained sputum for one month.

Minimally invasive surgical ablation is generally contraindicated in patients with atrial fibrillation and thrombosis of the left atrial appendage. We have treated three of these patients using an innovative technique based on a bilateral video-thoracoscopic approach, performing a continuous encircling lesion at the pulmonary veins outflow with radio-frequency ablation, simultaneously excluding the left atrial appendage. The postoperative course was uneventful, without neurologic events and all patients maintained a stable sinus rhythm at 1-year follow-up.

The effectiveness of thymectomy for nonthymomatous myasthenia gravis is analyzed with regard to extensiveness of removal of the adipose tissue of the mediastinum and the lower neck region with various techniques of thymectomy. The approach necessary to achieve maximal radicality must include access to both pleural cavity and the lower neck area up to the thyroid gland. Surgical techniques include extended transsternal approach, which might be combined with separate transcervical incision, bilateral videothoracoscopic (VATS) approach combined with transcervical incision, and extended subxiphoid approach, either uniportal or combined with bilateral VATS.
